Unit 41 Set Design
Overall I want the documentary to give the viewer a inside look at old bicycle collecting and give the viewer a bit more nolidge of bicycle collecting and information on the bikes and John. For the overall look of the documentary I want it to flow nicely together make sense in sequence and the look of it to be bright and easy to see.

Unit 41 BBFC Letter and Research
BBFC stands for British Board of Film Classification when it was established in 1912 it was originally know as British Board of Film Censors, They are not funded by the government they are independently funded by the work the do to classify movies. BBFC are responsible for rating movies and video games, they classify the films and vido games by what content is in them they narrow it down to who is and or not suitable to watch or play the film or game. Above is the way the age ratings for the film or game and why the BBFC give them that rating. Looking at the BBFC's ratings for films its very easy to see and understand quickly why a certain film would get a certain rating, but i would say that the PG and 12A ratings are very similar because both of them if you are under the age of around 10 you need an adult to accompany you and if so its the adults decision to see if the film is suitable for you or not, and usually the big difference between a PG and 12A is if there is blood or violence and i don't think theres many parents that would take there 6 year old to a film with a few bits of blood and violence.
The BBFC gave Coraline a PG rating because of the creepiness of the style like Nightmare Before Christmas and I would say it defiantly has a Tim Burton style about it and with more research this is because the director Henry Selick has worked on Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach and both of them mixed together defiantly make Coraline. The tad bit of bad language and a slight bit of nudity but the rating was finalized by the bits of horror and jump scary scenes that are suitable for an over 8.

Unit 11 Story and Narrative and Pulp Fiction
A Story is a sequence of events usually told in chronological order.
The Narrative deals with how the events are told and ordering the events into a consumable format.
3 Act Structure
Equilibrium
Disequilibrium
New-equilibrium
Classic Hollywood Narrative
Exposition - Key characters and location introduced
Development - Get to know more about the characters
Complication - Something happens
Climax - Problem gets solved
Resolution - Happy Ending
Linear Narrative starts from the start of the story then goes to the middle and then ends with the ending usually getting to the end as soon as possible and not jumping timelines and all the scenes are in chronological order. Most children's films will follow a Linear Narrative. Toy Story follows a Linear Narrative It starts by introducing the characters and the dilemma then moves to solving the dilemma the concludes the story.
Non Linear Narrative usually starts in the middle of the film or not the start then the scenes are usually in non chronological order and usually with a big reveal at the end that shows you how the scenes work together and make it make sense.
Pulp Fiction in Chronological order starts with a flash back of Butch getting his fathers gold watch, but when structuring the film and to have it in context it makes sense to have it just before Butch's boxing match to help the scenes flow.
The next and main bit of Pulp Fiction is Vince and Jules. It follows Vince and Jules in a car going to retrieve a briefcase from Brett. They go to Brett's apartment get the briefcase and kill everyone in the apartment then a guy in the bathroom jumps out and shoots at Vince and Jules but none of the bullets make contact with them, Jules says that he will stopping being a hit man because the near encounter was a sign from god. They leave the apartment with Marvin and head back to Mr Wallace. While driving Vince accidentally shots Marvin in the face making blood splatter all over the car. Jules takes the car to a Jimmies place near by to get the car cleaned whilst at Jimmies drinking coffee they call up The Wolf who can quickly get rid of the blood and guts. The Wolf arrives clears the mess up gets rid of the car and Marvin and Jules and Vince change in to some of Jimmies clothes. Vince and Jules then go and get some breakfast at a coffee shop.
Honeybunny and Pumpkin are robbing the same coffee shop Vince and Jules are in. Pumpkin is going around getting everyone's wallet and is interested in Jules briefcase things then get a bit heated and the end up both pointing guns at each other, Jules tells Pumpkin that he can have all the money in his wallet if he can keep the briefcase. They all leave the coffee shop and Vince and Jules go to take the briefcase back.
Marsellus Wallace is talking to Butch about throwing his match and letting the other guy win Marsellus gives Butch the money and Butch leaves. Vince and Jules then walk in give Marsellus the briefcase and Jules tells him he's not do the jib anymore because of narrowly escaping death.
Vince then gets heroin from Lance before he takes Mia Wallace to Jack Rabbit Slims for dinner. Vince leaves Lances and takes Mia to dinner and after dinner he takes her home. Vince goes into the house and goes to the toilet whilst in the toilet Mia is dancing around in Vince's jacket she reaches into one of the pockets and pulls out Vince's heroin thinking in is cocaine, she snorts the heroin thinking its cocaine her nose starts to bleed and starts foaming at the mouth. Vince rushes her to Lances to help. Vince gets there with Mia and they give her an overdose jab, she jumps straight up alive and Vince takes her back home again saying never to tell Marsellus.
Butch wakes up from his flash back of getting given his Dads gold watch. Butch doesn't throw the fight and kills the guy he's fighting he escapes in a taxi and plans to get a train out of LA with Fabienne his girlfriend. Mr Wallace tells Vince and a few others that he wants Butch dead for not throwing the fight. Butch finds out that Fabienne has left his Fathers Gold watch back at the flat. Butch drives towards the flat he arrives with relief that no one is there to kill him he picks up the watch and puts a pop tart in the toaster, after putting the pop tart in he sees a machine gun on the kitchen counter. Butch picks up the gun and the bathroom door opens with Vince walking out of it, Butch fires the gun and kills Vince. Butch is driving back to Fabienne when Marsellus walks across the road in front of him Marsellus stops pulls out his gun and Butch flaws the gas and drives it to him making Butch crash into a lamp post. Marcellus gets up and chases Butch while firing a gun. Butch runs into a pawn shop and pins Marsellus on the ground beating him and then points a gun to his head, at this point the owner points a shotgun at Butch as he calls a guy called Zed. Marsellus And Butch are both tied up and gagged, Zed and the owner take Marsellus into a back room to rape him leaving Butch by himself, Butchs frees him self and heads up stairs and finds a katana, he comes back down the stairs kills the owner and frees Marsellus. Marsellus kills Zed and tells Butch that there even and to never come back to LA. Butch then leaves with Fabienne on Zeds bike.

Exit Through the Gift Shop (Bansky 2010)
Exit Through the Gift Shop follows Thierry Guetta a frenchman in LA who carries around a video camera recording everything he does. One time while recording his cousin know as Space Invader is making mosaics versions of characters from Space Invaders and Pac Man and putting them up on different locations in LA. Thierry records his cousin putting them up around LA and through this he finds other LA graffiti artists and helps and record them doing there graffiti. Around this time Bansky pops up doing his graffiti and Thierry gets fascinated by him and wanting to make a doucmnetry about him and all the other graffiti artists. Through connections Thierry meets Bansky and says about how he wants to make a documentary about him but Basnky thinks Thierry is a lot more interesting than him and gets him to do a documentary about himself. Thierry used all the footage he had to make the documentary but it was all jumpy and has no plot and you can't understand it. Bansky takes it upon himself to direct the documentary himself and tells Thierry to make he's own street art, Thierry does this and gives himself a new name under Mister Brainwash, Thierry becomes very popular in LA and makes around a million dollars in selling his stuff.
The documentary consist of archive video footage and pictures shot by Thierry with interview of Thierry, Bansky and other graffiti artists included over the top and also a Narration by Rhys Ifans over the top and bits of repeated music here and there.
The Agency of the film is Thierry's determination and fascination with street art and his determination to meet and make a documentary of Bansky. This drives the documentary and keeps u interested to see where Thierry ends up.
